OWNER/INSTRUCTOR

Coach Jay grew up in Philadelphia/South Jersey and spent over 20 years in television before trading scripts for the pool. What started as a backyard side hustle is now a thriving small business, and a community he’s proud to lead. Coach Jay’s rule is simple: if you’re in his home, you’re treated like family. That means every student, parent, and coach gets the VIP treatment.

INSTRUCTOR

joined SDWJ in 2024 and became an instant favorite with students. With her background as a Summer Camp Activities Director, she knows exactly how to bring kids out of their shells. Known for her sweet pep talks and gentle encouragement, Taylor has a special way of making even the shyest swimmers feel brave. Her smile makes the pool feel like home for every swimmer.

INSTRUCTOR

Coach Alma is an artist and water lover. She’s been enthusiastically teaching swim lessons for years. When she’s not in the water, she enjoys baking, painting, and crafting. She also crafts unique lesson plans fit for each student’s specific needs. Families appreciate her thoughtful approach and ability to make every lesson feel personal and fun.

INSTRUCTOR

Coach Savannah grew up swimming competitively, but is just as well known for her years as a super-nanny. A true theater kid at heart, she brings both sparkle and stamina to the pool, using imaginative play to keep lessons engaging. She’s equally skilled at helping babies feel comfortable in the water and guiding older kids toward stronger technique.

INSTRUCTOR

Coach Mara is a professional dancer, teacher, and nanny who brings her signature mix of creativity and discipline to the pool. With years of experience working with kids, she knows when to cheer and when to challenge, helping swimmers push past “I can’t” and discover their true abilities. She’s always loved the water, whether swimming, fishing, or wakeboarding, and channels that same energy into her coaching.

COACH JAY’S DAUGHTER

Sierra may only be 12, but she already has a natural gift with kids. While she’s still too young to professionally babysit, she is super excited to help out with Swim Day’s youngest swimmers. Her ability to meet kids at their level helps her connect with even the most reluctant swimmers and makes them feel comfortable. She’s the perfect little buffer for children who could use a supportive pal by the pool.

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT HOSTESS

Arya may not teach swimming, but she’s a pro at keeping spirits calm and tails wagging. With her gentle, unshakable demeanor, she’s often the first friend hesitant kids warm up to. Arya soaks up every bit of attention from students and will happily trade endless loyalty for just a couple of belly rubs.
